June 14, 2014 Update: WFLF Monero-Mustang Rescue Mission

We are over the moon with gratitude for your support in helping to make the WFLF Monero Mustang Rescue Mission a success. Just recently approx.  150 Mustangs lost their freedom and their homes on grazing rangelands in New Mexico and were in grave danger of going to slaughter. However, you are the village that is turning this sad story of broken hearts and life threatening turmoil into new beginnings with new safe forever homes for these very special Mustangs. But, as we celebrate each success of this multiphase rescue effort it is with urgency that we make this plea for your continued support so we can save the last remaining herd members, including two dozen rare breed Spanish Mustangs. It is imperative that placement and transport for the last few groups of Mustangs is completed this month. Because of you, we have been able to secure appropriate natural habitat placement and evacuate many of them to new forever homes. But the challenge to secure placement continues for the remaining horses, as we scramble to cover the rest of the expenses including the crucial need of funds to replenish vital hay supplies.

To support this effort donate:

The Wild For Life Foundation (WFLF) announced the launching of it mission to rescue the Monero Mustangs in April, in effort to approximately 150 Mustangs and because of YOU, and every single friend who has sent in donations this large scale emergency rescue mission is nearly complete. The mass showing of support over the last several weeks has enabled us make this very special rescue possible. But time is of the essence for these last few groups of Mustangs.

These distressed horses need us now more than ever to keep our promise so that they will never be at risk of roundup or slaughter again. Through YOUR kind and generous support, WFLF is in the final process of securing new safe pastures and natural habitat space for the last remaining Mustangs.

Together, we have saved hundreds of horses from being butchered alive - but 'rescue' is just the beginning of a long, dedicated endeavor to provide the best quality of life for these distressed victims. While we realize that not all horses can be saved, our commitment is to do our utmost for all incoming animals. Please consider making a gift to support these horses today.

We thank every single person who has touched this rescue mission...and these majestic horses. Our village pulled together and is saving these horses' lives, including several unborn foals! We extend many heartfelt thanks to you, for your generosity. Please share this message and let's see if we can cover these crucial rescue costs! Thank you on behalf of the imperiled Mustangs who will soon all have a second chance...Because of you!
